Building, creating and fostering meaningful connections remains the cornerstone value for Expect More Tehama. From 1:1 connections, to facilitated community connections, Expect More Tehama focuses much of its resources and energy on supporting healthy, positive and collaborative connections.
Many of us took a significant mental hit during the surreal rollout of the 2020 pandemic. Countless children were swept into this chaos. Often unaware of why feelings occur or how to ask for help, local youth need strategies and care more than ever. With May deemed as Mental Health Awareness Month, it’s the perfect platform to come together as a community to dissect the stigma surrounding those seeking or needing support. Watch Here
To meet these extraordinary times’ demands, we must learn to control our biology, master positive thinking, and live in the moment.You have to be healthy and present to be the rock for your kids, employees, patients, friends, and elderly parents. As Expect More Tehama has developed over time, it’s become clear that while poverty, domestic violence and high ACE scores continue to rage, our goals and hopes for student success are diminished. Expect More Tehama was part of an exciting ACEs Aware planning grant that addressed the role of systems, including the healthcare system, to better screen for ACEs and meet the needs of families.
