Understanding Trauma to Build Resiliency: Children and families experience and work through trauma at all age levels. Having a greater understanding of how to support and build resiliency will positively affect all of our residents.
Rural Resources
Rural communities experience a unique set of circumstances in education. Understanding the barriers, strengths and strategies to support children, families and adult students is crucial. These resources may help your organization, business or family capitalize on our rural strengths.

Family Partnerships
Family partnerships at all age levels have shown to increase student success for children from diverse backgrounds, children who speak a language other than English and children who have other risk factors including high levels of trauma. Actively reflecting on how families are engaged and partnering with education and community on behalf of their children in all age groups is critical to positive outcomes for all focus area/age groups.

Data and Assessment
Making decisions based on data that accurately represents all of our children is critical to positive outcomes. Each focus area and age group require specific types of assessment and reflection to ensure that data is used to support education in a meaningful way. These resources provide information for specific age groups to support meaningful use of data and assessment.
Summer Activities
A community wide effort to actively engage students and families throughout the summer is a critical component for decreasing the documented summer slide. It is important to understand why summer activities are so important as well as know what is available for different age groups.
